2010 Cycling Calendar 1 Reply

With today's release of the Tour of America's Dairyland schedule, it's a good time to share an updated version of my master calendar. Note that WCA events still aren't published.

Anybody Up For "The Eisengoose" Century? 1 Reply

Here's a revised and improved version of an idea that Jimmy and I were kickin' around last year. This ride incorporates about 45 miles of trails and would be a fun alternative to a traditional road b…

Lifts and Separates

Cycling kit has always been a hit-or-miss proposition. What's in style today finds itself laughably outdated tomorrow. I'm a less-is-more guy when it comes to style: simple colors and patterns. Just a silly mistake; nothing to worry ab… Continue

2010 Versus Cycling Schedule

I have lifted this information straight from the Versus website ... not looking to violate copyright, just looking to boost ratings so that the network will continue to broadcast cycling.… Continue

Objective: Race the Lake

For me, 2009 was all about the miles. I reached my goal of 4,000 on Sep. 12, then surpassed my personal record of 4,410 on Oct. 7. My final ride of the year, on Nov. 22, got me to 4,800.

A 5,000-mile year is now an obvious target, but I don’t expect it to happen in 2010. Riding that many miles is largely a function of just having enough time to do it. You don’t have to be any good as a cyclist, just willing to put in the time. If I reach 5,000 miles in 2010, that accomplishment will be incident… Continue
